Knife fight seminar at sports centre of excellence Herzogenhorn, training manager Marcus Ruddies

Mr Ruddies,

let me thank you once again for the competent and friendly way in which you presented Tactical CQC Training to my unit.

I have 15 years of experience in SEK (German equivalent to SWAT), and 35 years in martial arts, which allows me to judge with a certain degree of competence. I have taken part in knife fight instruction courses of various kinds, but rarely have I had the opportunity of learning about a system of knife defense that is as realistic and proven in practice. Your Tactical CQC system imparts successful techniques of repelling a knife attack even unarmed and thus to protect yourself against being wounded severely in a way that is easy to learn. We were thrilled by your capacities. The comradely, yet pugnacious atmosphere of the training was appreciated. We feel that this training has brought us all forward considerably.

We would welcome another opportunity to enhance our skills in knife defense and knife fight with your help.

Yours truly,

Thomas B.
Chief Inspector

From Armed Forces:

Dear Mr. Ruddies,

Let me thank you again for your dedication in teaching my unit the Tactical CQC Training.

Tactical close combat is an aspect of training, which helps our soldiers to gain mental and physical fitness for a mission. Just the intense physical and mental discourse with the material in my opinion is an important step in the personal development of young people. As Company Commander I would like to further an advanced training like this.

All participants of the training were very excited of the nice, enthusiastic atmosphere of the training as well as of your competence, the practicality and effectiveness of the Tactical CQC Training. Even our experienced non-commissioned officers and officers praised the Tactical CQC Training as offering participants multiple options, which are adapted to various levels of escalation. From scenarios like simple fisticuffs at checkpoints to life threatening local – and house-to-house-fights, soldiers are taught several options on how to effectively protect oneself without having to overreact.

I will recommend as well as give my support to establish the advanced training of the Tactical CQC Training as a regular institution and am looking forward to having you here as our trainers again, very soon.

Best Regards

Mr Ruddies,

I will be glad to be and to write a reference about you and the Tactical CQC Training:

For me as a member of the military police in the national forces as well as in preparing soldiers for deployments abroad, a system of close combat is important that takes into account both the military aspect and the special requirements of police operations within the context of self-defense and control.

Over the last few years, I had the opportunity to take part in various training modules of Tactical CQC Training, and I have come to know it as a realistic and effective system which I can recommend without hesitation for the context mentioned above.

The instructor Marcus Ruddies who has trained police and military units for years incorporates experience gained in the field into his teaching which is instructionally sensible, highly competent and serious, yet leaves room for fun with learning. I can highly recommend Tactical CQC Training and the instructor Marcus Ruddies to all members of the military and police forces who are interested in instruction and training beyond what is offered within the internal system.

Yours sincerely,

First lieutenant N. Probst

Hello Tactical CQC Team,

let me thank you again for the many black and blue marks and the lot of fun I had during your competent and realistic training.

During the last three years, I have become acquainted with various modules of Tactical CQC Training. These modules are clearly structured, consequently coordinated and easy to learn for beginners and for those who have experience with other sports alike. The techniques and the modules are attuned to each other, which makes learning fast and efficient. Tactical CQC Training to offers soldiers an excellent way to learn close combat realistic settings and effectively so that they are well prepared for real-life operation. The learning atmosphere is friendly, without gadgets, equipment is functional.

I can only recommend to military and police units to have a look into Tactical CQC Training and, as the case may be, to use appropriate modules in preparing deployments.

Yours truly,

K. Keller
